The Animated Series' Showrunner Has Seen Your Second Season Bingo Cards — With Some Positive Updates

The much-anticipated second season of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel arrives on the streaming platform soon, and audience theories has been intense.

The first season introduces a large cast of personalities residing in Hell and Heaven, pits them against each other with songs detailing their conflicts, and establishes heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that fuel audience devotion.

The fandom's stated hopes for the new season vary widely, but certain threads recur frequently: Could Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the binding agreement affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Naturally, I don't produce the show with fan service specifically in mind," the creator commented recently. "But I believe that me being a devotee of the series means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator says her big-picture plan is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have already been green-lit by the production companies, which produce the series.

That might mean fans have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they could be shocked at how quickly season 2 moves, and how much of what they're waiting for unfolds this season.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some really amazing reveals, some really cool origin tales, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the theories and desires about the upcoming season — especially in the form of fan bingo cards.

"I've come across a couple people make a bingo card about the new season," she mentions. "Obviously I won't share it, but I've actually done some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season launches on the streaming service on October 29.
